Dreamforce 2019: Highlights and Announcements
SalesforceSalesforce held its largest tech conference Dreamforce 2019 from November 19 to 22 in San Francisco. Dreamforce was attended by a whopping 171,000 people from all around the world, viewed online by 13M+ users and had 2700+ sessions making it the best Dreamforce so far. Attending such a large scale event with that number of sessions being held in a period of 4 days, you’d need a lot of planning as an attendee. We hope our Ultimate Guide for Dreamforce was helpful.
Dreamforce 2019 Keynote speakers lineup included global leaders like Barack Obama, Tim Cook, David Beckham, Emilia Clarke, Megan Rapinoe and many other CEOs. This year’s Dreamforce concert, Dreamfest was rocked by Fleetwood Mac, the British-American rock n’ roll band.
Salesforce innovation continued by making AI (Einstein) the center of all its new product announcements during Dreamforce 2019. Salesforce also strengthened its strategic partnerships with the other technology giants in the industry – Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google, and others. Salesforce product and feature release surrounded around 2 key things – Customer 360 and Data.
CUSTOMER 360
As part of Customer 360 release, Salesforce has added some brilliant Einstein capabilities to its core platform, which reflects in all its clouds – Sales, Service, Marketing, Commerce and App.

With Sales Cloud, you get high-velocity Sales automation, integrated billing and quoting capabilities, predictive forecasting, partner management and a flexible platform with clicks, not code.
What’s New
In addition to that, you now get Einstein Call Coaching! With Einstein Call Coaching, you Gain management-level visibility into your sales teams’ conversations through natural language processing that identifies keywords in sales calls so managers can quickly understand trends like a spike in competitor mentions, or best practices from the top performers.

Service cloud brings personalized service at scale with AI-powered agent recommendations, field service optimization, an omnichannel digital engagement platform, and a complete ecosystem.
What’s New
And now, we have Service Cloud Message and Service Cloud Voice – thanks to Salesforce’s Strategic Partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS). As part of its Service Cloud Voice new offering, Salesforce will now offer Amazon Connect, a complete set of toots aka cloud contact center service from AWS that makes it easy for organizations to deliver better customer service.
Customer 360 Marketing
An easy and flexible platform with personalized engagement at enterprise scale, intelligent customer insights & guidance, real-time automated and personalized interactions with customers – that is Salesforce Marketing for you.
What’s New
And now, Salesforce announced the missing piece – Customer 360 Audiences (aka CDP). A much needed and most important chunk in marketing platforms – a data platform. The icing on the cake, an Interactive Email designer. With that, customers will be able to submit surveys and rate your service offerings within the email.

Commerce Cloud is an omnichannel B2B & B2C commerce platform integrating with the Sales, Service, and Marketing. With intelligent personalization and AI-powered merchandising & engagement makes it a robust platform.
What’s New
At Dreamforce 2019 Salesforce introduced Customer 360 Order Management and Einstein Designer. Einstein Designer is a Site Designer for the e-Commerce site powered by Commerce Cloud which recommends and displays the best fit variation of the page to customers.

App Cloud is the #1 trusted app development platform with built-in compliance, integrated platform services, low-code to pro-code flexibility and intelligent point-and-click workflows.
What’s New
Mobile Publisher is now introduced by Salesforce which makes it easier to build and deploy Apps directly to the Apple AppStore or Google Play Store.

With Einstein Analytics, you get easy to use advanced analytics and market insights for all of your marketing, sales, and service data including a smarter, trusted, integrated platform.
What’s New
With the acquisition of Tableau, Salesforce now has end-to-end data & analytics capabilities with the integrated platform. You can get enterprise-wide analytics for all of your data. Interactive dashboards, AI-powered recommendations & insights makes it one of the leading analytics platform.
DATA
Salesforce introduced Single Source of Truth (SSOT). Salesforce has enhanced Customer 360 with ‘SSOT’ also referred to as ‘Truth’ built deep inside of it. SSOT is now part of the Salesforce architecture as a core platform feature.
Be it the Salespeople, Service or marketing professionals or any other department talking to any customer, they have one record to refer – the Single Source of Truth.
Einstein Voice Skills Builder
Salesforce introduced the Alexa of Salesforce, a physical Einstein! You can now talk to Einstein just like how you use your Alexa or Siri but more related to everyday work within Salesforce. Einstein Voice Skills Builder actually helps to build Einstein Apps that interact with Alexa, Siri, Google Home – again all with clicks, no code!
SALESFORCE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
Salesforce announced new strategic partnerships with Technology Partners while strengthening its current partnerships as well. There are some big names on it. Salesforce realized that these partnerships are important from a customer’s success point of view as Salesforce can’t exist alone and the giants are supporting the industry together. It’s a good move that Salesforce is not shying away from them.
And these partnerships meant new features introduced in Salesforce. Let’s look at a few of them.
Apple Partnership
- The Salesforce Mobile App for iOS is now enabled by Einstein brings in advanced analytics and features exclusive to iOS, including Siri shortcuts and Face ID.
- Trailhead now has a mobile app – Trailhead GO exclusive to iOS and iPad OS. Thanks to the Apple Partnership.
- The new Salesforce Mobile SDK helps Salesforce developers to quickly build and deploy native Salesforce apps for iPhone and iPad.
Amazon Partnership
- AWS Trails: Salesforce will offer new Trailhead trails for AWS skills. That means, Trailhead is not restricted to just learning Salesforce.
- Amazon Connect: As mentioned before, Salesforce has integrated Einstein Voice Builder with Amazon Alexa and offered Service Cloud Voice.
Microsoft Partnership
- Marketing Cloud is moving to Microsoft Azure. SFMC will be run on Azure.
- Sales Cloud and Service Cloud are being integrated with Microsoft Teams – Service and Sales agents can view and share Salesforce records directly within Teams.
Dreamforce 2019 didn’t disappoint at all – making it probably the best Dreamforce ever. Salesforce innovation continues with its features being way ahead of the competition with AI dominated releases.
